A Man of Success: Abe Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln is an American president very well known for his life that inspired many. Known to have suffered many failures on many aspects of his life, Lincoln never gave up and continued to reach for his dreams. Failures did not get the best him, but made him a recognized man worthy to be the President of the worlds number one nation. His life his story has inspired many, Americans or not to have faith and go on with life in spite of failures that deter.

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. He served the office from 1861-1865. He was considered to be one of Americas most famous presidents as he had many contributions that left him a mark in Americas history forever. He was the one responsible to lead the country through the great crisis of American Civil War and managed to end slavery. He was also known to be the first American President to be assassinated.

The life story of Abraham Lincoln was so inspiring that it was proven to be the most adapted life story of an American President. There are numerous plays and movies dedicated entirely to him. The Lincoln Fest 2009 is a Festival organized by The Champaign County Historical Museum in commemoration of the 200th birthday of the American President. It is held at Virginia Theatre in Champaign, Illinois as a 3-day event.

The three day event will feature the life and living of America’s most famous president. it will feature his early days at his hometown in Illinois up to his rise in presidency. The Festival will also feature discussions of the filmmakers about the well-loved President. Fans and enthusiasts of the President will surely come and see this event.

Indeed his life story has been an inspiration for most of us who suffered, are suffering and who will suffer the same way. His failures included: losing several jobs, being kicked out of his home as a boy, his sweetheart died when they were engaged, he lost numerous times in the elections. These failures did not require him to quit. Had he quitted, America would be a different country by now.
