Arts and Crafts
Mothers Day is fast approaching and husbands and kids are looking for gift ideas to give to the special woman in their lives. There are enormous selections that can be found on shops and retail stores that specialize in womens stuffs and accessories. For budget gifts, look no further as there are several of them in craft fairs and festivals. In craft fairs, people sell goods at very low prices. These goods are mostly home made or hand made crafts that are both cheap and charming. The fact that they are home made and did not use factory resources unlike other stuffs are what make them a cheap commodity.
For crafters, there are a lot of craft ideas that would make mothers appreciate them and be happy. A quick project that is not just quick but also easy to make is potpourri doilies. Moms appreciate them for they are very good pieces of decoration for homes and they are fragrant too. To start making one, first thing is to gather the ingredients.
Here are the ingredients for making potpourri doilies are: a set of potpourri (this you can buy at any craft store), a doily (or start to make/ crochet your own!) and a piece of ribbon or raffia to tie. Place the doily on a flat surface, scatter the potpourri towards the center and enclose it by pulling up the sides of the doily. These crafts are ideal to hang underneath the void spaces on staircases and on hallways. The fragrance that oozes out from the potpourri makes this stuff truly fascinating.
Photo Cubes that are made of Styrofoam are also ideal gifts for Mothers Day and very easy to make. Just cut out a few cubes made of Styrofoam and beautify with embellishments and construction/art paper cut-outs. A Place photo inserts using plastic acetate sheets. The photo cubes are excellent to display on your workstations or kitchen tables.
