The National Maple Syrup Festival
What is more pleasurable than to wake up one morning to the sound of moms pancakes sizzling in the pan? The National Maple Syrup Festival is annually held every first and second weekends of March at Medora, Indiana. Indiana locals and enthusiasts from near and far gather to witness this annual and much awaited event. The Festival features the Maple Syrup, a unique concoction gathered from the Maple tree on a special process. The Festival involves workshops, selling, seminars and fun activities for the whole family!
As spring is almost near, the coldness of winter slowly fades and first signs of flowers and bloom are seen throughout the land. This is the perfect date to celebrate The National Maple Syrup Festival as Maple trees began showing off its impressive leaves. Vendors and exhibitors showing off their farms produce: 100% all- natural Maple syrup will also participate in the event. The event will feature live bands and entertaining music to further enrich the experience.
The event will feature a Maple Syrup challenge where challengers present their Maple Syrup concoction to the judging committee. Farmers and syrup hobbyists await this event where they can showcase the best of their farms produce. There are also other entertaining activities for the kids to enjoy like: parlor games, play areas, face painting and open hands-on classes.
The National Maple Syrup Festival is indeed a notable celebration that is a must-see event for the whole family to enjoy. The richness of the surroundings coupled with the Maple Syrups sweet taste is truly an event to remember.
